Puddin helps universities verify the authorship of student assignments and applicant personal statements by capturing evidence from the writing process itself — including typing activity, revisions, paste events, writing speed, pauses, and session history. Rather than analysing finished text, Puddin records how a document was created, giving institutions a reviewable, evidence-based record of document development.

What Puddin captures

Puddin records evidence from the writing process — not from the finished text. Every writing session produces a detailed authorship record that includes:
  • Typing activity — keystrokes, typing speed, and input patterns throughout the session
  • Paste events — every paste action with the source content and position
  • Revisions — edits, deletions, and structural changes over time
  • Pauses and session breaks — gaps in activity and session start/end times
  • Document development timeline — the full sequence of how the document was built
Puddin does not analyse finished text to make judgements about authorship. It captures process evidence that institutions can review alongside the submitted work.
